The 21st edition of La Nuit des Musées is taking place this Saturday, 8th October, from 17h00 to 01h00 in Luxembourg city.
Whether you are a food fanatic or an art aficionado, La Nuit des Musées has a place for you! From workshops, guided tours to musical events in seven different museums in Luxembourg City, the nocturnal event will host a special program this year with some Coups de Coeur that will be featured in each museum with performances by mainly young and local artists.
Culinary surprises will also accompany the events from the late afternoon onwards. If you have a rumbling belly, head over to Ginger Head Food Truck at Villa Vauban for their scrumptious burgers made from fresh and local ingredients. If a Naples-style pizza speaks to you more, the VERACE Pizzeria will have its food truck at MNHA. Prepared in a wooden oven, the pizza’s enticing taste is owed to the pizzaiolo et owner Maurizio.
For lighter snacks, MUDAM Café will be managed by Pure, their new café that opened last month. Offering a selection of soups and focaccia, the kitchen will remain open until 01h00. Local drinks will be provided by Benoît & Claude Viticulteurs at Luxembourg City Museum, a small family winegrower located at the top of the vineyards of Remich. You can also eat their Flammkuchen while sipping a glass of “rouden Fiederwäissen”.
To celebrate the museums’ open doors, an afterparty is planned at MUDAM, whose bar will be open until 03h00, serving a luscious selection of cocktails and drinks. If you still have appetite, “Amore al dente” will have their food truck open until 03h00 for their steaming and savoury pasta. Free shuttle buses will also be at your disposition to ensure a relaxed journey through the bustling streets of Luxembourg City.
For the party people among you, a queer rave-party will start at 01h00 when all the museums close. The location will turn into a club, whose scenery was designed by a Brussels-based collective Every Island and with the transmedia artist Dance Divine behind the decks.
