Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, the restaurant “BONDS”, a newcomer on the pretty Place de Nancy, defines itself as an “urban food bistro” which is the perfect place for a business lunch, an afterwork with friends or a romantic dinner. A great discovery!
As soon as you enter, the colorful graffiti made by the artist Thomas Iser on the walls welcome you happily. The tone is set. These paintings contrast with the bright blue velvet benches, the bouquets of fresh flowers on each table and a modern decoration. A mix of universes that creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere, which can be found in the plate.
Right by the entrance, a high table along the bay window allows you to eat or have a drink while admiring the outside. On the tables along the velvet bench, one can admire the bartenders behind the bar preparing delicious cocktails. Downstairs, a room with exposed stones will welcome larger tables for an intimate dinner in a friendly atmosphere.

The menu elaborated by the chef Philippe Ismaili proposes tapas to share with friends, like artichoke hummus, zucchini flower fritters, Iberian charcuterie or razor shell in parsley, all accompanied by a cocktail prepared by the bartenders or a glass of wine. As for the main course, we we were charmed by the octopus sautéed with garlic and lemon confit, on mashed potatoes, very tasty and soft. A real treat! Meat lovers will fall for a beautiful lamb shank confit for 12 hours, which melts in the mouth.
As for wines, the restaurant has a nice selection of bottles, and the owner of the place, Samuel Giovanardi, a great connoisseur, will be happy to advise you. Don’t be afraid to ask!
On sunny days, the interior courtyard can accommodate tables for outdoor dining.
BONDS is the place that brings us together for a good meal, a good drink, in good company. Simply put, it’s a place to be.
