Have you been to Avenue Emile Reuter lately? If not, you probably don’t know about the opening of the new “Bonne nouvelle” bar. And believe us, you should check it out. It’s great news for Luxembourg City and for those who like to mingle with friends around a drink!
Avenue Emile Reuter is a wide street that runs from Galeries Lafayette to Place de l’Étoile. And along it you find the city’s municipal park and the Villa Vauban. A perfect spot between calm and greenery, quietness broken at times by the Tramway which slowly passes by.
Bonne Nouvelle is a pop-up bar created by 3 friends united by their passion for gastronomy. Their entrepreneurial adventure began with the creation of their own craft beer and cider in their Luxembourgish brewery “Satori Brewing Co.”. At the same time, the three friends started organising gastronomic events under the name “Umami”, in atypical places to offer a unique experience while tasting regional products.
As ideas continue to pop out in their young and creative minds, they have imagined a convivial place to transmit their taste for good and local food: Bonne Nouvelle was born in the previous location of Charly’s Gare. This pop-up is a combination of creativity, good vibes, good food and good drinks. Yes, all that!
Seated there, you will encounter a very pleasant service, recommendations on wines and beers, and a minimalist menu with only 4 or 5 plates to share (or not!) with one watchword: the product above all!
The fruit and vegetables come from Terra and therefore breathe freshness and seasonality, enhanced by the creativity of the chef in the kitchen.
Once a month, the three managers invite an international chef to cook for an evening to open up the culinary horizons of their customers. Information about these “Chef’s Nights” can be found on their Instagram account or their website.
