As a long-standing partner of the Cancer Foundation, the Cactus Group is launching a support action on 4 February. The aim is double: to provide financial support to the foundation in order to help in its many activities and to raise consumer awareness of the need to eat 5 different fruits and vegetables every day.
World Cancer Day is held annually on 4 February to raise awareness and funds to support research and accelerate medical advances. To support this action, Cactus undertakes to make a donation of €2.50 to the Cancer Foundation for each customer who purchases at least 5 references of fruit or vegetables on this symbolic day. In this way, Cactus wishes to motivate consumers to opt for fresh and healthy products while at the same time providing financial support to the Cancer Foundation.
Indeed, a balanced diet plays an important role in the prevention of many diseases, including various cancers. “Prevention is the most promising and effective area in the fight against cancer. Everyone can maximise their chances of fighting cancer by adopting a healthy lifestyle. And a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables is part of this” explains Lucienne Thommes, Director of the Cancer Foundation.
With the same objective of raising awareness, Cactus has announced its collaboration with Michelin-starred chef René Mathieu, underlining through this initiative that a healthy and varied diet is of great importance for the health of all consumers.
