Thanks to the purchase of the solidarity product “Bio Naturbrout”, Cactus customers now have the opportunity to support the preservation of the habitats of the Anax Imperator, one of the largest dragonfly species in Europe. Since the launch of this organic bread, 161,062 € have already been donated to natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur to support environmental protection projects.
Through the sale of solidarity products, Cactus aims to facilitate its customers’ philanthropic actions. For example, the “Bio Naturbrout” allows consumers to combine taste pleasure and ecological commitment, as the brand undertakes to donate 10 cents per loaf of bread sold to natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur. The money raised will be used to acquire and manage nature reserves rich in ponds, which will be able to accommodate the Anax Imperator, one of the largest dragonfly species in Europe.
The two partners have been able to considerably expand their initiative and numerous projects for the protection of biodiversity and endangered animal species have been carried out. For example, otters, wild orchids and other projects have already benefited from the conservation programme set up by Cactus.
The “Bio Naturbrout” is a product of the “Zesumme fir eis Bio-Baueren” branch. The latter was set up by Cactus to enhance and promote local organic agriculture. From the cultivation of organic cereals to the transformation into delicious artisanal breads, “Bio Natrubrout” is a 100% local product.
