Speciality coffee, a chic and refined decor, the new coffee shop “Do For Love”, which has just opened in the heart of Luxembourg City, has everything you could wish for. We met with Jordan Siedlewski, one of the initiators of the project.
It all began over a decade ago when Jordan discovered his passion for the barista profession whilst in Australia. He has since spent several years in the restaurant industry, first in Paris, then in London at a palace where he was introduced to the world of specialty coffee roasters. “That’s where it all really started because working with passionate people rubs off on you,” says Jordan. It was within the palace walls that he honed his craft as a Barista, perfecting his execution of “Latte Art.” (Editor’s note: a technique for creating drawings or patterns with the milk foam.)
After a stint at Knopes Luxembourg in 2022, the goal was clear: opening “his own establishment” as Jordan explains. It was during a discussion with two of his childhood friends, who would eventually become his partners in this project, that the idea took shape. A few months later, the opportunity arose and they embarked on the adventure.
The logo, designed entirely by Jordan, is meant to be minimalist, with a one-line drawing of a person, coffee in hand, striking a dance pose, a nod to breakdancing, Jordan’s other passion. As for the name’s origin, “All three of us are 2Pac fans, and one night I was trying to think of a name and the song ‘Do For Love’ came on. It was obviously meant to be,” Jordan shares.

And so, Do For Love opened its doors in mid-April of this year at 51, Boulevard Royal in Luxembourg. Situated in a premium location, close to Galeries Lafayette and a stone’s throw from a bus and tram stop, this new coffee shop boasts many enticing features. In addition to its location, the decor is minimalist, pure and sophisticated, with a large grey terrazzo bar which showcases a magnificent matte black coffee machine. One of the walls has been kept in its original raw state, giving the coffee shop an industrial touch. The interior is finished with benches and high-top tables that invite you to walk around, and there’s even a terrace planned for finer weather.
As for the coffee, you’ll find the speciality beans from “Cime,” a coffee roaster in Nantes, for which they have exclusive rights in Luxembourg. “I work a lot by gut feeling and experiencing things, and it was during a trip to Nantes that I discovered this brand, this coffee and the passionate people behind it.” So it was only natural that when it came to sourcing coffee, the barista turned to them. On the food side, Do For Love offers both sweet and savoury pastries.

Do For Love promises a great experience, whether you’re having your coffee to go, or looking for a moment of relaxation.
Open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 to 17:30; Saturday 9:00 to 17:30.
