On the occasion of St. Nicholas’ Day, the Luxembourg Tourist Office is organising the “City Promenade for kids”, guided tours for children aged 6 and over (and their parents).
Special “Saint Nicholas” tour
On the 4th, 5th and 6th of December, kids can take part in a guided tour in the form of a treasure hunt, combining the discovery of the capital with the legend of Melusina. At the end of the tour, each child will also receive the traditional St Nicholas gift, a wonderful “Titchen” (bag of sweets).

The tourist office will also be organising a “City Lights Promenade” at dusk. Let yourself be enchanted by a magical atmosphere as you discover the capital’s must-see sites under the Christmas spell, including the prestigious Grand Ducal Palace, the Corniche, as well as the various and numerous special illuminations of the “Winterlights” programme.
Visit of the Luxembourg Stadium
In December, the first scheduled guided tours of the brand new Stade de Luxembourg will take place. Take advantage of this opportunity to take a look behind the scenes, which are usually inaccessible to the public, and discover, among other things, the changing rooms, the press room, the VIP areas, the kitchen, etc. Note that the Luxembourg Stadium can also be explored during a guided tour with a personal guide.
Tickets are on sale on luxembourg-city.com and at the Tourist Office on Place Guillaume II.
