A new coffee place has just opened its doors in the heart of the Limpertsberg district. You can’t miss this yellow café from the Avenue Pasteur. Yellow like the sun, and the sun is shining inside Intense Coffee!
Tiago and Mélanie, two passionate baristas, decided to launch their own business by opening this coffee place. They learned the art of “specialty coffee” in Berlin, working in roasting shops. The idea of opening their own coffee shop gradually took shape in their minds. Originally from Luxembourg, they decided to bring a bit of Berlin to the heart of Luxembourg City: Intense Coffee was born.
Open 7 days a week from 7.30 am (9 am on the weekends) to 6pm, this café is like a lit and caffeinated lighthouse in the heart of Limpertsberg for a coffee to go, a work session at the large wooden table, or a lunch with friends on the terrace. “We wanted to create a café as a meeting place for the inhabitants of the neighbourhood, where neighbours can meet and mingle,” explains Tiago. Only a few weeks after their opening, the two entrepreneurs admit that they are delighted with the reception they have received, and already note that a majority of the clientele comes from the neighbourhood, as hoped.

Intense Coffee is nestled in a very large room with high concrete ceilings, warmed by a natural and green decoration. Wooden materials and more modern furnishings, such as green and cream cotton canvas glamping-style armchairs, are mixed. Huge plants reign supreme throughout the room for a very pleasant green atmosphere. A terrace on the street side and another more intimate on the garden side at the back welcome coffee lovers in fine weather.
As for coffee, the duo of baristas gets their specialty coffee beans from two roasters, Kaffeekirsche Roastery, a famous Berlin roaster, and August 63, a micro roaster they met in Berlin but who is originally from Luxembourg! These specialty coffees are on sale on site, as well as some coffee accessories.
On the food side, the two baristas have chosen to offer a limited menu with only a few salads and sandwiches, home-made in their small kitchen, with 100% vegan recipes. For those with a sweet tooth, there are also cookies, brioches and various cakes, also vegan, which will satisfy your sweet cravings! “We only offer the things we know how to make, without extending the menu too much, to concentrate on the coffee, which is our core business!” explained Tiago.
Intense Coffee is certainly the perfect place to fill up on sunshine from within. And on caffeine.
