The Luxembourg Art Week takes place this Friday 11th of November on the Place du Glacis. During three days, the Luxembourg Art Week will welcome no less than 80 gallery owners, artists’ collectives and institutions. It is the the number one international contemporary art fair in Luxembourg.
From 11 am onwards, this Friday 11 November, the Luxembourg Art Week opens its doors to the general public. This event, the most important international contemporary art fair in the Grand Duchy, brings together a selection of national and international art galleries. It allows art lovers and collectors, but also art novices, to discover known and recognised talents of contemporary creation. From the youngest to the most established gallery owners, you will discover a wide variety of universes. The fair also supports emerging galleries and artist collectives offering works at affordable prices.
On the programme of the Luxembourg Art Week: conferences, performances, monumental sculptures, projections… While the first edition, 2015-2016, welcomed nearly 7.000 visitors, some 17.000 curious visitors are expected this year on the new temporary exhibition space of more than 5.000 m2 on the Place du Glacis.
On site, two food trucks – ranging from traditional burger and chips to fusion cuisine – will fill the back of the pavilion, while the fair’s restaurant, run by the caterer Kaempff-Kohler, will offer a wide range of salads and sandwiches. Visitors will be able to stop for lunch or a coffee in the midst of Adrien Vescovi’s monumental pastel hangings. Look up to discover the flowery and hanging compositions of Kathlyn Wohl (Infiiorata) and take a seat on the Berlin design stools of ARGUMENT.
