Jens Rittmeyer lives for the north. Not only the proximity to water and thus to the source of fresh fish and crustaceans, but also the variety of local vegetables in combination with regional meat has shaped his new, Nordic cuisine over time. The boundless passion for food of the highest quality is reflected in his kitchen philosophy and thus also in his home-made products. Be it in his restaurant N°4 in Buxtehude or in his online shop: Jens Rittmeyer’s enthusiasm for “real” food can be felt everywhere.
His fascination and passion for the preparation of elaborate sauces, jus and stocks has earned him the title of ” God of Sauces” over time. He combines all these elements into a true homage to the North.
He regularly organises farm-to-table events where he celebrates his philosophy of fresh regional cuisine together with his guests.
