Sweetness and exoticism are two words that fit well with the newest member of the Mellis range, the Honey Rum Liqueur.
The adventure for Mellis began in 2020 when it joined forces with a Brazilian partner, the “New Brazilian Spirits Company”, based in Luxembourg, to benefit from its experience and international reputation. Long months of preparation and elaboration followed until the creation of the Mellis – Honey Rum Liqueur, officially unveiled a few days ago.
The basis of Mellis – Honey Rum Liqueur is a premium quality artisanal rum. Indeed, it is made according to the traditions of the family distillery H. WEBER in Brazil and made from organic sugar cane from their own cultivation. Once back in Europe, it is then flavoured with Luxembourgish honey and left to rest for several months. The result is a very smooth and naturally sweet rum liqueur, which incorporates the blend of South American and European know-how and the best ingredients from Luxembourg and Brazil.
For the design of the bottle, the company enlisted the services of the Brazilian artist Pablo Aguirre, who has been based in Luxembourg for several years, for a very colourful and catchy result.
The Mellis – Honey Rum Liqueur can be consumed neat (with or without ice) or when making your favourite cocktails such as a Daiquiri. To do so, mix in a shaker with ice cubes: 4cl Mellis Honey Rum Liqueur, 2cl lime juice, 1cl cane sugar syrup.
