Organising an evening of entertainment, especially with autumn just around the corner, is a great idea for a cosy evening out with friends. But it doesn’t mean that diner shall be skipped! We list here the perfect “show-restaurant” combo for an evening of food and entertainment.
“Inhouse” restaurants
In Luxembourg City
At Croque Bedaine in Limpertsberg, everything comes together for a warming evening: a beer bar, a wide choice of croques (club-sandwich) and stand-up comedy nights to get your zygomatic going!
The Hotel Le Royal has just launched its Comedy Club and welcomes stand-up comedians on stage in the premises of the Pomme Cannelle’s restaurant. After the 6.30 pm show, book a table at the Amelys restaurant.
The Vantage Bar in Merl offers snacks to munch on while attending a concert or open mic night.
After (or before) a concert at the Philharmonie, check out the new cuisine at Tempo Restaurant, located at the back of the Philharmonie building, recently taken over by chef Jan Schneidewind.
Outside Luxembourg City
The Aalt Stadhaus has a nice restaurant on the ground floor of the theatre. Ideal for a bite to eat before or after a one-man show or concert!
The Kulturfabrik in Esch welcomes you in the brasserie “K116” for drinks and food before or after your show. A great way to mingle with the artists that stop by after their performances.
In the Casino2000, before or after a comedy show or concert, the Purple Lounge brasserie and the gastronomic restaurant Les Roses will delight your taste buds.
Restaurants around the venues
Some theatres don’t have their own restaurant, but no need to panic by choosing the fast food around the corner, here are the places to go only a few minutes away.
Before a play at the TNL (Théâtre Nationale du Luxembourg), let yourself be tempted by the excellent platter of sushis at Hakii Sushi.
After a play at the Théâtre des Capucins or the Théâtre du Centaure, enjoy a good seafood platter or a carpaccio at the unmissable Brasserie Guillaume, open until 1am!
Before a play at the TOL de Bonnevoie, there is nothing better than a good plate of pasta or a pizza at the Atelier del Gusto!
Before or after an opera at the Grand Théâtre, enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious charcuterie-cheese platter at La Réserve, which stays open until 1am.
After a dance show at the Trois CL in Bonnevoie, extend the evening at the Brasserie Beaulieu with a comforting dish and a glass of wine.
Next to the Rockhal, you can enjoy a burger from Snooze.
If you want to get your strength back before a concert at Den Atelier, what about a nice plate of mezze at Green Olive? This place offers an amazing buffet of hot and cold middle eastern mezze.
