A new delivery service in Luxembourg ! With Wolt, customers can order restaurant food and other goods and have them delivered in 30 minutes.
Wolt, a fintech based in Finland, is launching its services in Luxembourg on Thursday 29 February. “Using the Wolt app, customers can order from partner restaurants and have their food delivered in under 30 minutes”, explains the company.
Already more than 200 partner restaurants
Wolt reports that more than 200 restaurants are already on board, as well as a number of shops (delicatessens, ice cream parlours, wine shops, etc.). International chains as well as well-known local players are available on the platform. These include the Manso Group (Piri Piri, ELA, El Barrio), Mama’s Boys (Mamacita, Bazaar, Urban), Partigiano, Burger King, Simon Says Chicken, Cinnamood and many others. And the delivery company is looking to quickly expand its range to include a variety of stores: supermarkets, grocery shops, florists, bookshops, electronics shops, etc.
Delivery costs start at €2.49 and are capped at €5.99 depending on distance. To support its launch, Wolt has decided to offer free delivery to all new users for 14 days after creating their account, on all their orders.
The first delivery areas
In a first phase, Wolt will operate in the City Centre, the Railway Station, Belair, Cessange, Gasperich, Bonnevoie, Hollerich, Cloche d’Or, le Grund, Cents, Neudorf-Weimershof, Kirchberg, Weimerskirch and Limpertsberg, and aims to rapidly expand its delivery areas.
“There are days when we all need things delivered quickly: some days you only have 15 minutes for lunch, or you have friends coming over and you need an extra bottle of wine or a dessert: now all you have to do is open the Wolt app, choose the product you like and place your order. All in just a few clicks”, explains Loren Danesi, Managing Director of Wolt in Luxembourg (photo).
