For the National Day 2021, celebrating the official birthday of the Grand Duke, the Foundation of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess wishes to share a moment of solidarity on behalf of those most in need in Luxembourg. To support this initiative, the artist Jacques Schneider designed an exceptional T-Shirt for the occasion.
The Foundation of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess helps those who fall through the cracks of the social net by empathically listening to them, giving them advice and guidance and, if necessary, providing financial assistance. Often the last resort for those who have exhausted all other possibilities of social assistance in Luxembourg, the Foundation was able to help 53 families in 2020 to preserve their housing, avoid over-indebtedness and sustain a dignified life. As a result of the COVID crisis, the allocated financial aid has increased by 20% compared to previous years.
As the Foundation is exclusively financed by donations, it is dependent on our collective solidarity to continue to provide help to the most disadvantaged in Luxembourg. In this national spirit of solidarity, the artist Jacques Schneider developed an outstanding T-Shirt to promote this initiative. Developed with the help of the Foundation and the approval of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, the T-Shirt (organic, eco-responsible and fairwear label) bears their royal portrait, of which 10€ from each purchase will be donated to social assistance and relief projects in Luxembourg.
As a way of participating in this national celebration and supporting this project in solidarity, the KACHEN team also visited the Artist’s Concept-Store for a lighthearted photo shoot wearing the stylish new t-shirts. This year, in celebration of the country’s National Day, it is important to remember that we are all one big family. #EnggroussFamill
