Barilla, the famous Italian brand created in 1887, has launched a new range of bronze drawn pasta, Barilla “Al Bronzo”. These pastas are made from an exclusive recipe using a bronze method for a unique taste experience.
The “Lavorazione Grezza” method
This new premium pasta stands out for its unique production process, the “lavorazione grezza” method i.e., bronze drawing in moulds with a thread that draws micro grooves on the surface of the pasta, which allow it to obtain an intense roughness to better hold the sauce.
They are also made using a specific flour, made from durum wheat with a protein content of over 14%, selected within the Barilla wheat chain, which has been in place for several years for all pasta products. This allows us to produce a dough with a firm texture, perfectly “al dente”.
The Al Bronzo range is composed of 5 references: Linguine, Spaghettoni, Mezzi Rigatoni, Fusilli and Penne Rigate.
A “passion” red packaging!
The Al Bronzo range is also distinguished by its packaging, namely cardboard boxes bearing the red colour code, recalling the identity of the Barilla brand logo, and passion, one of Barilla’s key values.
A bold choice that will undoubtedly attract attention on the shelves!
And here we have a great recipe proposed by Barilla to discover the new Barilla Al Bronzo range.
Fusilli Al Bronzo, salmon trout, yoghurt and parsley pesto
The spiral effect of fusilli is perfect with this creamy trout and parsley sauce. A play of consistency between the pasta and the ingredients makes the fusilli stand out.
