Ingredients
For the Dough
- 500 grams all-purpose flour
- 10 grams instant yeast
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 250 ml warm milk
- 75 grams unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
For the Filling
- 100 grams unsalted butter, softened
- 150 grams brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Sugar Glaze
- 150 grams powdered sugar
- 30 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Cinnamon Rolls
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Wait for it to become frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and egg. Combine.
- Gradually add flour and knead until smooth. Let it rise for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough into a 40x30 cm rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the butter.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut it into 12 slices.
- Place slices on the baking tray.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Sugar Glaze
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the sugar glaze over warm cinnamon buns.
