ORTEA, A CRAFT ICED TEA – I’m a local, I’m a natural.
An organic, craft iced tea developed in Luxembourg by two friends who wanted to offer something better. Something with a local identity, unfiltered taste and low in sugar. It consists of local ingredients such as apple juice and honey, with the main ingredient being nettle (“ortie” in French). It was clear from the beginning that the sustainability should be the foundation. That is why the producers use carefully selected organic ingredients, keep the supply chain short and brew Ortea themselves in Luxembourg.
LA PETITE EPICERIE
Archie is an expert on the benefits of cider vinegar. He will guide you in the adoption of new daily habits, improve your overall wellbeing. Cider vinegar has been studied for decades for its health benefits, including its ability to control blood sugar levels, help with weight loss and aid digestion. You can take it in the morning on an empty stomach for a “detox”, and before heavier meals. You can also take it after a meal to avoid bloating. One tablespoon diluted in a glass of still or sparkling water at cold or room temperature. You can also add your dose to a warm herbal tea (not boiling so as not to “kill” the mother of vinegar and its good bacteria).

OURDALLER – Hulled buckwheat grains
The high-quality regional products of Ourdaller S.c. were created by a farmers’ initiative (BEO), founded in 1994 in the north of Luxembourg. Seven farming families decided to grow old forgotten native plants together again. One of these is buckwheat, a plant that has almost been forgotten despite being a health grain. Buckwheat belongs to the knotweed family meaning it is gluten-free. It contains lots of vegetable protein, potassium, iron (ideal source of protein for vegetarians and vegans), magnesium and vitamin B complex.
TÉI VUM SÉI
As part of a Leader initiative, the “Kraidergenossenschaft Naturpark Uewer-sauer” was founded in 1993. Most of the herbs used for Téi vum Séi products are grown in cooperative members’ fields. Others grow in the wild. Compliance with the guidelines on the protection of nature and the environment demands cultivation without chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Harvesting is done by hand or by machine, and the herbs are immediately taken to the factory in Schleif where they are dried quickly and carefully at low temperature using state-of-the-art equipment.
