For these reasons, the pods are picked when they are young, resulting in the thin, dried-out sticks found in supermarkets. That’s why we started producing vanilla in Dutch greenhouses. This way, you can imitate the ideal growing climate all year round without risky natural conditions and without pesticides or other chemical agents. The result? Four to five thousand square metres of beautiful, rich, fat vanilla pods of the highest quality.”
