It’s that time again on the weekend of March 23rd and 24th!
Mooing and neighing all around the “Gëlle Fra”: the Place de la Constitution in the upper town will be transformed into “de Bauerenhaff an der Stad”. For the fourth time, the association “Lëtzebuerger Landjugend a Jongbaueren” invites you to exchange information and raise awareness about Luxembourg’s agriculture.
Together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, the municipality of the capital, sponsors and partners, producers and some animal representatives.
Friday is reserved for pre-registered school classes from Cycle 2 to 4. In various workshops, they will learn important facts about grain, pigs, cattle and more and can ask their questions directly to the farmers. This offer is based on the association’s own initiative called “Fro de Bauer”, which gives children from cycle 4 the opportunity to gain an insight into farming throughout the school year. On Saturday and Sunday, too, everything revolves around food from Luxembourg agriculture and its producers – raising awareness for young and old. Around the “Gëlle Fra” there will be information stands, exhibitors and producers, surrounded by dairy cows, suckler cows and goats. On both days, visitors are invited to watch the show cooking with politicians, to take part in an interactive public quiz and to learn more about grain processing in the past and today.
