Delikoreana, located until now on the parking of Findel airport, is moving to its own restaurant premises in the city centre, not far from Alima.
Regulars of this tasty cuisine prepared by Unsill Kim, the chef behind Delikoreana, are already delighted with this great news. As for the uninitiated but lovers of culinary discoveries, get ready to set sail for Seoul.
From caterer to restaurateur
The story of Delikoreana began a few years ago. In the early days, the chef prepared typical South Korean dishes in the kitchens of her Howald flat for takeaway only. Cookery courses and catering services for companies completed the offer.
After several successful pop-ups (Luxepo the Box, the Place de France kiosk) and Findel, Unsill Kim is finally opening her own restaurant. Located in the city center, this small place has been decorated by Unsill Kim herself. “The lettering and the decoration come from Korea” proudly says Unsill. There are few tables inside and some outside for the spring days to come.
The hardest part will be choosing
Everything is homemade by the chef, who has mastered South Korea’s leading recipes to perfection. No surprise there as, back in Korea, she used to cook with her mother, who owns a restaurant. “When I arrive in Korea, I started cooking for my family and friends and today, I am more than happy to share my culinary heritage with my customers” says proudly Unsill.
What to eat there? Try and devour the Korean fried chicken, a KFC crispy, soft, sweet and a little spicy that will definitely make you lick your fingers and lips long after the last bite!
We’re also crazy about Kimbap, this rice and vegetable roll surrounded by seaweed leaves, and her tasty vegetables dumplings called “Mandu”. Let yourself be tempted by kimchi, this famous Korean fermented cabbage, filled with nutritional benefits.
Lunch specials are proposed every week. On Monday, devour bibimbap, a bowl of rice with pickled vegetables and gochujang (a spicy fermented condiment) topped with a fried egg, on Tuesday spicy marinated pork, on Wednesday Bulgogi, minced beef marinated in a sweet sauce. Check the website for all the details.
Make sure to try this lovely gem and embark for a real culinary voyage. Enjoy your discovery!
Opening hours: 11 am – 4pm (Monday to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday).
