From colouring Easter eggs to taking part in a competitive egg hunt, there are many fun activities for children to do at Easter. So what can you do this Easter in Luxembourg?
- Art Camp at TippTopp Art Studio
From the 3d to the 7th of April, TippTopp Art Studio offers a wide range of different classes during the Easter Holidays. Designed for children between 5 and 12 years old, the classes will focus on canvas painting, printing on fabrics, t-shirt creation or clay modelling, among many others.
- Egg hunt gone digital – give it a try!
The Luxembourg City Tourist Office is also organising a digital egg hunt on its social networks for the Easter weekend. If you are successful in your search, you might win a small gift from their new “Péckvillercher” range. The whistling clay birds are made by “Keramikfabrik”, the ceramic handicraft production workshop run by Autisme Luxembourg asbl, which are now also available at the tourist office.
- Easter Market at Belle Etoile
Immerse yourself in a playful atmosphere while exploring the know-how of craftsmen. From Péckvillercher, craft products to seasonal delicacies and entertainment for children, you are bound to find something for yourself and your children. Kids can enjoy ceramic painting with Pause Art, face painting with Nanie or balloon sculpting with MagicToff.
- Easter SenseSation at Park Sënnesräich
From the 8th to the 9th of April, enjoy an outdoor Easter event with your family. Park Sënnesräich will organise creative Easter games, live entertainment as well as interactive performances and stylish photo spots. They will also offer varied workshops in collaboration with the pedagogical farm “Om Béchel” and the Our Team of the Natural Parc Our.
- Jump on an Easter Safari!
From the 4th to the 16th of April, Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) is organising for the 2nd time a special “Easter Safari”. Based on the National Museum of Natural History’s playful tour “City Safari”, it invites children not only to explore the urban jungle, but also to discover unique animals. During a 2-hour tour, an experienced guide takes children (recommended age: 4 to 12 years) through the city of Luxembourg in search of hidden animals in the city centre, in particular lions, a lizard and a unicorn.
- Spring Weeks at Robbesscheier
The nature discovery centre is planning several workshops and activities around the spring season from the 1st to the 16th of April. To take advantage of these activities, it is best to make a reservation. There are various fixed programmes (morning, afternoon or full day) for families. These workshops are prepared according to the age of the children and there are even groups for “toddlers”.
- 5-egg hunt at Zoo Amnéville
From the 7th to the 10th of April, the zoo will hide five colourful eggs from 10am to 6:30pm. No registration is needed, just take a pen and a bag to carry all your mini treasures!
Numerous other municipalities are also organising egg hunts such as Ettelbruck, Esch-sur-Alzette, Sanem or Differdange, challenging people to hunt for a whopping 500 eggs! However, if you are looking for a stay-at-home activity, take a look at our article on how to make natural Easter egg dye with vegetables.
