Cyril Molard’s restaurant is relocating for the duration of a gastronomic cruise to the Caribbean, where ten stars will be delighting passengers.
When we talk about cruises, we often find ourselves humming: “Love, exciting and new… Come aboard, we’re expecting youuuu!!!”… The Love Boat song, of course. And when it comes to gourmet cruising, not only is the song stuck in your head, your mouth is watering too!
Dinners with a view
From March 9th, an entire Luxembourg team will be treating the lucky guests of the MSC Seaside liner: Ma Langue Sourit is going onto the sea offering the passengers of the Yacht Club section an exceptional experience. The Moutfort restaurant closed its doors from the 3rd to the 19th March.
The “Stars Chefs @ Sea” cruise will leave Fort-de-France in Martinique on the 9th March (and return on the 16th) and will visit Point-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, Roseau in Dominica, Philipsburg in Saint-Martin, St.John’s in Antigua and Barbuda and Basseterre, on the island of Saint-Christophe and Nieves.
Ten stars on the deck
This 3rd edition of the gastronomic cruise, organised by the Belgian agency Manu Voyages, will welcome no less than 10 stars on board!
Alongside the 2-star chef Cyril Molard, there will also be eminent Belgian chefs like Viki Geunes, 3-star chef at ‘Zilte’ in Antwerp, Thijs Vervloet, 2-star chef at ‘Colette’ in Averbode, Eric Fernez, 2-star chef at ‘D’Eugène à Emile’ in Baudour and Michael Rewers, 1-star chef at ‘Bistrot du Nord’ in Antwerp.
What’s on the menu?
Accompanied by his sous-chef Alexis Bourgniet and chef de partie Paul Guénot, Cyril Molard will be serving dinner for 180 people! That’s two courses of 90 covers for passengers in the ship’s Yacht Club section.
Quite the challenge for this typically intimate restaurant.
On the menu:
Mise en bouche: Smoked trout – apple – celery – buckwheat
1st starter: Lobster biscuit – corn – watercress – pine nuts
2nd starter: Turbot – artichoke – onions – tarragon
Main course: Free-range duck – beetroot – figs – Vosges berries.
