Located opposite the Brasserie Nationale in Bascharage, “De Brauhotel”, with 55 rooms and a workspace, will strengthen the existing hotel and tourist offer in the midst of the Cultural year.
“De Brauhotel” was unveiled on Wednesday the 23rd of February, during a press conference given on the occasion of the kick-off to the festivities related to Esch2022 – European Capital of Culture in the municipality of Kaerjeng. Designed by the architectural firm BALLINIPITT, the building is recognisable by its facade made of terracotta strips, a mixture of modernity and more traditional textured materials.
Surrounded by a tree-lined terrace and with a 50-space car park, the hotel has 55 rooms spread over 4 floors and classified into three categories: suite, family rooms and standard rooms. As for decoration, the Luxembourgish photographer JEAN JEAN (Jean Hoffmann) took care of covering the walls of the hotel with pictures honouring the brewery world in which the establishment is located.
On the ground floor, a comfortable area serves as a breakfast room in the morning and as a workspace during the rest of the day. It is open to the public and has a coffee bar and a snack service.
Aimed at both professional and brewery tourists, “De Brauhotel” invites everyone to discover the history of the beers that characterise it. Together with the Brasserie Nationale site and its activities, the hotel represents a new tourist attraction in the south of the country.
“With this new tourist centre, we are also targeting a brewery clientele who will not only be able to stay with us, but also visit the brewery conveniently, take part in the brewery workshops organised by “De BrauAtelier”, do beer tastings and of course have lunch or dinner in the “D’Braustuff” restaurant”, explains Isabelle Lentz, manager of the “Hôtel de la brasserie” company, owner of “De Brauhotel” and operator of “D’Braustuff”.
