Here they are: the new Bib Gourmands! Michelin’s inspectors have awarded a Bib Gourmand to 23 new restaurants in the Michelin Guide Belgium and Luxembourg 2021. From Antwerp to the Ardennes and from Brussels to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg: the Bib Gourmand guides gourmets through the Belux.
At a period of health and economic crisis that continues to affect a profession that is facing new challenges and giving the best of itself, the Michelin Guide is therefore more committed than ever to highlighting restaurants that manage to offer a cuisine combining quality and pleasure at a fair price.
For many years, the Bib Gourmand has been the ambassador of restaurants that offer excellent value for money, quality and pleasure. Whether the cuisine is Asian, traditional or trendy and creative: each restaurant with a Bib Gourmand has its own identity. Although they have important similarities: the emphasis is on seasonal produce and the generosity that characterises the Bib Gourmand.
Lovers of good food are sure to find what they are looking for in the restaurants that make up the Belgian and Luxembourg Bib Gourmand selection, which includes no less than 23 new arrivals. You can now find restaurants all over Belgium and Luxembourg. And yes, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg welcomes a newcomer in this edition, the restaurant Bistronome which we presented in KACHEN 4-2019 in our Chef portrait. Indeed, according to the guide, its chef Jean-Charles Hospital, honours the name of his restaurant by creatively interpreting traditional gastronomic cuisine.
