From Monaco’s glamour to Luxembourg’s elegance: Beefbar collaborates with SMETS to offer a culinary experience where quality meats, international flavours, and architectural artistry converge. KACHEN was invited to take an exclusive look at this new gourmet venue.
Beefbar, a name that emerged from the glamorous environs of Monaco in 2005 by Riccardo Giraudi, has since seen its footprint expand to cities such as Monaco, Hong Kong, Dubai, Mykonos, London, and Sao Paulo. Recognised for its commitment to top-tier meats and its integration of grilling techniques with international street food nuances, Beefbar has solidified its reputation in the upscale dining arena around the world.
Today, Beefbar is opening its doors in Luxembourg and has collaborated with the established family enterprise, SMETS. Taking over the former TwoSixTwo restaurant’s space at Smets Flagship in Strassen, the space has been reimagined by architect Cédric Capon, merging classic Art Nouveau influences with contemporary design. The ambience, inspired by American diner booths and the elegance of the Orient Express, is a testament to Riccardo Giraudi’s vision.

The spotlight of Beefbar’s menu is undeniably on beef, showcasing favourites like “jambon entrecôte” and “croque sando”. With a commitment to local produce, the restaurant proudly features Luxembourgish beef alongside other select global meats. Oto Horacek, General Manager of Beefbar Luxembourg, emphasizes, “Highlighting the quality of Luxembourg meat was a priority for us.”
Structured in three comprehensive segments, the internationally-influenced menu kicks off with a street food palette, where dishes like the renowned “KFC” and “Mini Big K” shine. As one delves deeper, the “Comfort Food” section emerges, offering comfort classics like pasta and smash burgers. The pièce de résistance, however, is the grill, a showcase of select meats, all given an aromatic edge by the on-site smokehouse.

Beefbar Luxembourg is open for lunch from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, commencing October 31. For dinner, they welcome guests from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays, and from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Meat lovers this is for you!
