Alessandro Alessandrini’s organic farm Conca d’Oro is a fourth-generation family business. The farm is situated in the hills of the Piceno countryside at an altitude of 250 metres above sea level. The particular south-east facing position is ideal for olive growing, which is done strictly according to the rules of organic farming, without pesticides or chemical fertilisers. The olives are harvested at perfect ripeness and are slowly crushed in the company’s own oil mill within 24 hours at room temperature with stone mills to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the oil. Thanks to the balanced blend of the three olive varieties Leccino, Pendolino and Frantoio, the extra virgin organic olive oil “Conca d’Oro” is suitable for any kind of dish.
The organic nut chocolate spread is a genuine nutty treat for young and old alike, free from palm oil. Made from finely selected ingredients, the French family business Noiseraie Productions in the Loire Valley produces it for BIOG with a lot of passion and craftsmanship. Other delicious BIOG varieties are “Schockelasbotter Mandel” with fine crunchy almond pieces or the vegan variant “Donkel.” Enjoyed on bread, crêpes or straight from the spoon, mmmhhh … BIOG is the joint brand of the organic farmers’ cooperative Lëtzebuerg (BIOG)and the distributor Biogros.
Whether served as a long drink or as an aperitif, the multi-award-winning Mirabeau Dry Rosé Gin is the perfect aperitif partner. This exceptionally smooth, balanced gin is made with 100% grape spirit, from up-cycled grape skins as its base, combined with its award-winning Classic Provence Rosé as an element in the distillate, and accent botanicals from the French Riviera. The finish is a smooth-sipping dry gin with glamorous aromas and botanicals of the French Riviera. Mirabeau Dry Rosé Gin can be mixed with dry vermouth for a martini or with a tonic of your choice.
The Restaurant Le Gourmet in Junglinster, which has just been extended and refurbished, with its beautiful delicatessen, offers you olive crackers from their French partner 1001 Huiles, who have been selecting delicatessen products for 22 years, and works with farmers, producers and craftsmen to develop its range so that everyone can discover and consume healthy and authentic products. Their secret of excellence: seasonal harvests, respect for nature and good practices, and of course authenticity of taste.
The Calçots sauce is the best kept secret of Catalan gastronomy. It is worshipped, and rightly so. Casa Amella makes it without additives, from organically grown and seasonal Ñora peppers, tomatoes, almonds, hazelnuts… With grilled vegetables, white fish or pasta, it is a delight! Entirely vegan. According to international chocolate reviews, Josef Zotter is one of the best chocolatiers in the world. All chocolates are produced bean-to-bar in his chocolate factory in Austria, upholding strict organic and fair trade standards. There are currently over 500 different products in their range.
