At the end of February, the École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg qualified for the world finals in Singapore of the Global Chefs Challenge.
There is just no stopping the EHTL! At the beginning of February, one of its students, Timothée Goedert, won the “Best Knife Skills” Trophy in India, over 51 competitors! At the end of February, Steve Lentz, a technical education teacher, and Cédric Collé, a student in his third year of training as a chef’s assistant, won a gold medal in the vegan cuisine category in Rimini (Italy).
In October, Singapore
During these regional semi-finals of the Global Chefs Challenge, organised by the worldwide Worlchefs association, Chef Lentz also qualified to represent Luxembourg at the final of the Global Chefs Challenge, which will be held from the 20th to 25th of October 2024 in Singapore. Some 40 teams will compete in 4 categories, allowing the world’s best chefs to measure their talents with the aim of winning the gold medal of this competition.
A vegan cuisine enthusiast
Steve Lentz is passionate about vegan cooking and in November last year, together with his colleague Carole Goerend, they published a cookbook with 100% plant-based recipes, entitled Mmmmh (published by EHTL).
