Electrolux, one of the leading global appliance companies, accommodates one of its smaller markets by integrating Luxembourgish as a language option for its smart appliances: Starting mid-March, AEG will release a new line of connected ovens that can be operated via the MyAEGKitchen App.
This addition makes Luxembourgish one of the 31 available languages for Electrolux’s vast selection of smart kitchen and household appliances – all operational through your smartphone or tablet. For the Luxembourgish market, this primarily applies to AEG products.
Indeed, the first AEG smart ovens integrated with this new language package will be available by mid-March. Optionally, other smart ovens can also benefit from this by simply performing an update. Their plan is to gradually expand their compatible range of connected products, including dishwashers and cooktops by the end of 2022.
Considering the limited amount of Luxembourgish-speaking customers, this is a noteworthy investment for an international enterprise such as Electrolux. Nonetheless, the appliance corporation is dedicated to its philosophy to “shape living for the better” and accommodate its Luxembourgish customers, whilst simultaneously contributing to the promotion of the Luxembourgish language and its recognition as official national and European language.
