“In the Esclans valley I heard the whispering of angels”, Sacha Lichine. Thus was born the Whispering Angel rosé!
It all began with an ambition, that of Sacha Lichine, who wanted to create the best rosés in the world. It is in the heart of Provence, north-east of St Tropez, with the Mediterranean in the background, in the middle of old Grenache vines, that Whispering Angel was born; the reference for Provence rosés in the world.
The new and innovative winemaking methods introduced by Sacha Lichine in the vineyards of Château d’Esclans have revolutionised the style of rosés produced in this region. The clay-limestone soil, south-western exposure and vinification by Patrick Léon, Mouton Rotschild’s winemaker for 23 years, have all contributed to making Whispering Angel the best rosé in the world.
Whispering Angel is a pale orange colour and the nose reveals great aromatic intensity, clean and precise. On the palate, it is dry with a smooth, creamy finish, making it accessible, enjoyable and easy to pair with a wide variety of dishes; whether as an aperitif or to accompany white meats, fish, shellfish or seasonal grills.
This boldness and desire to make the best rosés in the world has earned the Château d’Esclans estate the title of “The European Winery of the year 2014”.
The Whispering Angel rosé from Château d’Esclans is therefore aimed at experts and amateurs alike, attracted by the elegance and balance of a well-made wine.
