The Moulins de Kleinbettingen, recognised as a committed enterprise for more than 20 years via their label “Produit du Terroir”, certifies its ethical convictions as a socially responsible company. In its latest project, the company collectively pushes towards a more ethical and transparent environment. The ESR certification, which recognises the enterprise’s dedication towards their social and environmental responsibilities, further highlights its ambitions to improve internal governance and work culture, as well as innovate and maintain a positive external local impact.
Furthermore, LE MOULIN seeks to integrate environmental awareness into their products and to associate cereal production with these social issues. The LE MOULIN pasta range, introduced in 2020 and made from 100% Luxembourgish wheat, is a perfect example of their primary focus to produce local, and locally sourced products. At the moment, the mill team is working on integrating durum wheat cultivation into the national network “Produit du Terroir”, a sustainable, environmentally friendly cultivation programme supervised by the Chamber of Agriculture.
By choosing the INDR (National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility) labelling system, the company seeks to validate its efforts through a recognised national label whilst simultaneously positioning itself as responsible economic player contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
The environmental focus remains an integral part of the company’s DNA which still wishes to position itself in the future as a pioneer of sustainability in Luxembourg. A concrete way to contribute to the network of extraordinary skills and the sharing of good practices.
